Ogilvie School District #333 has available a 1.0 FTE Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) teaching position at Ogilvie Elementary School beginning August 2021 Highly motivated candidates sought to provide specialized instruction and services to preschool aged students who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPS) in a resource room or within the general education preschool setting. Ogilvie Public Schools operate on a 4-Day School Week structure (Tuesdays-Fridays), which may be a great opportunity for you! The Early Childhood Special Education teacher will provide case management, instruction, special education evaluations, ongoing assessment, and facilitate training for paraprofes- sional staff within the general education classroom and will work as a team member serving students with various disabilities or developmental needs. Under the direction of district administrators, the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher is responsible for assisting the District in assessing and identifying students with special needs such as emotional/ behavioral disorders, developmental delay, learning disabilities, or other similar needs according to State of MN eligibility criteria. This position includes home-based instruction and inter-agency collaboration. The Early Childhood Special Education Teacher plans for, develops and implements individ- ualized education programs (IEPS) and instruction in academic areas in collaboration with other educational professionals and administrators in designing, modifying and delivering specialized academic instruction and behavior management strategies for students. Qualifications: License area preferred in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) birth-age 7. Multiple Special Education licensure areas desirable. Must have a valid teaching certificate from the State of MN.
