Free Training in 2021 for Kanabec County - Childcare Capacity Builders (CCB) Liensed Family KANABEC COUNTY EDA Child Care Providers The Kanabec County Childcare Capacity Builders are offering 16 hours of free training to licensed family child care providers in 2021. These classes will be offered online by Pine Technical & Community College (PTCC) via Zoom. PTCC offers specialized training through Child Care Aware of Minnesota. For direct registration links for each class, please contact the Kanabec County EDA at heidi.steinmetz@co.kanabec.mn.us or 320-209-5031. For general registration questions or issues, please call Child Care Aware of Minnesota (Northeast office) at 320-629-5164. Classes already scheduled are listed below. Classes will be offered in October, November and December with dates and topics to be determined. Thursday, Jan. 21st, 6:30-8:30 pm Tuesday, April 27th, 6:30-8:30pm KCF: I KCF: III Creativity and Play in Early Childhood Introduction to Cultural Consciousness: Considering Cultural Dynamics Tuesday, March 2nd, 6:30-8:30pm KCF: I Monday, May 17th, 6:30-8:30pm Creating and Supporting Trauma Sensitive Care: Environments KCF: IVa Authentic Observations Tuesday, March 30th, 6:30-8:30pm Active Supervision: Out of Home Safety Issues The CCB group is a volunteer committee of the Kanabec County EDA. The group exists to support existing & new licensed family child care businesses in Kanabec County. To request help from the CCB group or if you are interested in joining the group, please contact the Kanabec County EDA at 320-209-5031.
