Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act CARES Act Grant for businesses and non-profits Eligible small businesses and nonprofit organizations in Kanabec County could qualify for up to $10,000 in grant funds based on certain guidelines and criteria. Grant funds may be used to help businesses and nonprofts respond to challenges faced by COVID-19. Examples include: lease or mortgage payments, front counter protection such as installation of plexiglass, technology equipment to accomodate telecommuting employees, personal protection equipment (PPE), etc. Grant awards will be based on number of employees and gross revenue loss. Grant funds do not need to be repaid. Completed applications must be received by Friday, October 30, 2020.
