Ogilvie Public Schools ISD 333 is seeking applicants for an Guidance Counselor Grades 7-12 starting for the 2021-2022 school year Deadline: July 9th, 2021 or until filled Position Goal: To provide leadership in the development, organization and maintaining of a guidance-counseling program for students in grades 7-12. Requirements: Minnesota State Certification as School Counselor. Additional licensure preferred. Advisory/Coaching opportunities may be available. Job Description: Ability to develop positive rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of at-risk behaviors and intervention strategies. Knowledge of resources and referral systems for students and parents. Knowledge of 504 Plans - how to create and monitor them. Serves on the Student Assistance Team (SAT). Serves as liaison between students, parents and agencies within the community. Knowledge of post-secondary planning, and options for students, school to work transition programming, PSEO and AP programs - and the application processes. Knowledge of the law as pertaining to schools. Works with the Grades 7-12 principal on student registration, master schedule, student schedule changes and production of the student registration guide. Works with the Grades 7-12 principal in planning and organizing the ACT, AP and ASVAB testing programs. Responsible for maintaining transcripts, grades and student records. Salary: Based on Teachers' Master Agreement and experience. Ogilvie Public Schools operates under a 4-Day School Week Structure with Monday as the common non-school day.
