About

The difference of the referendum vote in May can be summed up in one word: OPTIONS. Unlike any other vote that we’ve had in the past, a successful “yes” vote and a failed “no” vote both have implications. If the measure passes, it will result in the construction of a new high school. If the vote fails, the Board of Education will sign a non-voter approved measures to repair a limited number of structural items in the current school. The current plan is to have a 4-6 phase plan over the next 20-25 years, each phase having its own non-vote approved lease levy. If the vote fails, the first non-voter approved measure will be signed the day after the vote, May 13th.
