Ken Bergstrom is the President and CEO of Scandia Senior Care. He brings a broad range of education and experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois, and a BS Degree in Nursing from Excelsior College in Albany, New York. His 21 years in Health Care have been in a variety of settings: Serving in the US Navy for 8 years as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, he worked in Emergency Medicine, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Medical Education and Training, and Medical/Surgical duties.
In 1995, he became a Registered Nurse, and left the US Navy to work at a local Hospital in Coronado California. His experience there included Sub-Acute and Transitional Care Units. After moving back to his home State of Minnesota, he has worked in Public Health, Nursing Home, Adult Day Care, and Assisted Living Settings. Ken has experience as Director of Nursing at two Nursing Homes 60 bed facility (5 years) & 108 bed facility (7 years).
Ken is a volunteer on the following non-profit boards; Gideon’s International, Milaca Scholarship Foundation, and the Milaca Area Pantry.
Becky is the Vice President of Scandia Senior Care and serves as CFO / HR & Marketing Director. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from St Cloud State University. Her background comes from several business and community service areas, including: Central MN manufacturing companies as an Industrial Engineer, MHS Substitute High School Teacher, and Executive Director of the Milaca Area Chamber of Commerce. Becky is an active board member of the Milaca Scholarship Foundation and Board Chair of the Milaca Area Pantry.
