ATTENTION ARTHUR TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS: With winter well underway, the Arthur Town Board would like to kindly remind their citizens of the following: Do not plow, shovel, or blow snow into the road right-of-way. Any removal required will be at the cost of the homeowner. No parking in the road right-of-way, ever. If a vehicle is in the way of maintenance equipment, the vehicle owner will be responsible for any damages or extra expense for clearing the road. Please place garbage cans/receptacles behind the curb line. If the garbage can is located within the road right-of-way, a snowplow or grader may be unable to avoid causing damage. Please be sure that all swing-away mailboxes are installed correctly, with boxes above the standard pole (not below) to ensure enough space for the plow blade to pass through. We also ask that if you have had a mailbox replacement, that the old mailbox post be removed immediately for the safety of our snowplow operators.
